"Caring for wood is honoring its journey—from the forest to your hands, preserving its natural beauty for generations to come."
Care Instructions
Your Olive & Oak serving tray is designed to enhance your serving experience, not for cutting, as this could damage the epoxy resin finish. Each board is pre-oiled with food-safe oil/wax (our very own Wood Honey to be exact) to protect the wood and enhance its natural beauty.
To maintain its luster and longevity:
Use a food-safe oil, such as mineral oil or wood honey, to replenish the protective coating as needed.
Simply rub the oil into the wood and epoxy resin surface, then gently buff with a microfiber cloth for a renewed shine.
With regular washing and handling, the protective coating will naturally fade, so re-oiling periodically is recommended.
This care will help preserve your tray’s beauty and ensure it remains a cherished part of your home for years to come.

To apply wood honey, you can:
Scoop some wood honey onto a paper towel or napkin
Apply the honey paste in circles, working it into the wood
Let some of the butter sit on top of the wood for about 15 minutes to soak in
Here are some tips for applying wood honey:
Apply a light coat, similar to waxing a car
Work the butter into the wood to help it penetrate deeper into the grain
Let the wood absorb what it needs, and buff off the excess
For best results, rub in the wood honey with a clean cloth such as a microfiber towel
"Oil brings wood to life, making every grain dance with depth and color, revealing the soul of the tree."
